Savor the Final Days of Fall at The Manner in NYC’s SoHo

The Manner is not only a destination for discerning travelers, but a gathering place for New Yorkers in search of good food, great drinks, and vibrant downtown energy. As autumn’s final weeks settle over SoHo, the hotel’s trio of dining and imbibing spots offers the perfect way to savor the season before winter arrives.

Start at The Rooftop, where “Autumn on the Roof” runs through November 15. The space is aglow thanks to the sparkling city skyline. Plus, Chef Alex Stupak’s fall bites are paired perfectly with Laelia Tequila cocktails. Nosh on Queso Fundido with maitake mushrooms and warm corn tortillas, then lean into nostalgia with housemade S’mores–complete with vanilla marshmallows and canela graham crackers. Sip something like the Pomegranate Paloma, the Carrot Spice with tequila reposado and ginger cordial, or the Cinnamon Hibiscus Toddy served steaming with grated nutmeg.

On the ground level is The Otter–the hotel’s signature restaurant, which feels like a seaside escape, channeling Chef Alex’s New England roots through pristine seafood and classic flavors. The Seafood Platter is a must-share, while the Swordfish Steak Frites au poivre and Chopped Gem Lettuce Caesar make a perfect pair for crisp fall evenings.

End the night at Sloane’s, The Manner’s intimate speakeasy, where elegance meets a bit of whimsy. Enter through the velvet curtains and catch your server’s attention beneath the twinkle of chandeliers. Come late with a crew and order The Tower–a late-night feast of hot dogs, sliders, nuggets, and fries–or the Ice Cream Sandwich, elevated with vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and maraschino cherries.

Martinis reign here, from their signature dirty version (with a caviar bump for a cool $35 extra) to the Golden (Seventy One gin, dry vermouth, grapefruit bitters, twist) and Lychee (Haku vodka, lychee, clarified coconut, lemon, Peychaud’s bitters). For something brighter, try the refreshing and dangerously crushable Jungle Highball, crafted with El Dorado 5 Year rum, guava, passionfruit, banane de bresil, cynar, soda, and lime, or the stirred Devil’s Share with Remy cognac, amontillado sherry, lemon, maple, and aromatic bitters.

Whether in town for a sleepless visit or you call New York home, The Manner remains a downtown haven no matter the season.
