Hotel Snapshot

Fox Harb’r Resort, fittingly located in Fox Harbour, Nova Scotia, is like a secret just waiting to be told. Sitting on 1,100 acres along the Northumberland Strait (the stretch of water between Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island), the resort manages to feel both vast and surprisingly intimate. Equal parts championship golf getaway and luxury retreat, it has Atlantic views, cozy accommodations, multiple dining options, a spa and wellness center, and enough outdoor adventures to keep days full without ever feeling rushed. Between the ocean air, manicured fairways, and endless activities, it’s easy to forget a world exists outside the gates.

Design & Character

The resort leans into an old-school country club vibe, with dark wood, leather-bound chairs, and just enough plaid to feel intentional. Massive windows put the fairways and Atlantic Ocean on full display, framing them like a photo. What really sets Fox Harb’r apart is that it doesn’t feel like a hotel; it feels like a private club that guests get to temporarily call their own, where even lounging in the lobby carries a bit of that members-only energy. Adding to the sense of exclusivity, the property has its own private jetway just steps from reception, meaning guests can step off a Gulfstream or Challenger and walk straight onto the green.

The Rooms

Across 88 accommodations, each space has its own personality, from heated granite floors to beds dressed in top-tier linens. Executive Suites are made for those who like to do things in style, complete with king-size bedrooms, adjoining staterooms with fireplaces, and bathrooms with both therapeutic tubs and walk-in showers. Studio Suites hit the sweet spot for work or leisure, with queen beds, desks, walk-in showers, and balconies with views of the Northumberland Strait. Golf Manor Suites and Classic Rooms keep it modern yet comfortable, with sleek bathrooms and spacious layouts.

The Food & Drink‍

Fox Harb’r makes eating as much a part of the experience as the golf or the ocean views. Cape Cliff Dining Room leans into fresh, sustainable Nova Scotia seafood and gourmet dishes, with breakfast that sets up the day perfectly and dinner that calls for a little polish (collared shirts and dress shoes are required), but nothing too stuffy. The views alone make getting another drink feel mandatory.

For a more laid-back vibe, The Willard is where guests can grab seafood chowder, burgers, craft beers, and cocktails after a round of golf, a bike ride, or even a session at the archery range. In-room dining keeps it easy with breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and late-night bites. And wine lovers shouldn’t miss the resort’s vineyard, Nova Scotia’s second-largest single-block planting, where sparkling, whites, reds, fortified, and dessert wines pair perfectly with a seaside sunset.

The Amenities

Fox Harb’r Resort isn’t just about great golf — there’s something for everyone. Sport shooting, axe throwing, and archery are offered, while kayaking, hiking, biking, and pontoon tours make the most of the surroundings. Pickleball, tennis, horseshoes, and lawn games are also available, while classic board games can be played inside.

Wine lovers have something to cheer about, too, with private tastings led by one of the property’s sommeliers available for those who want to try something from the cellar. And for a truly special afternoon, a private 62-foot yacht cruise along the Northumberland Strait makes for a different way to take in the scenery.
