Set The Scene

SoHo has no shortage of design-forward hotels, but The Manner distinguishes itself in the details. That extends from the public spaces to the suites themselves. From the barware and lighting to the furniture and art, everything feels deliberate — yet nothing feels overworked. It’s polished, but still reads as a place you’d actually want to live.

There’s no traditional spa here. No steam rooms, no saunas, no water circuits, no relaxation lounges stocked with snacks.

Instead, the hotel takes a more private approach. Because here, your room becomes the spa — and the privacy that comes with it is the point. No shared spaces, no background noise, no waiting. You’re entirely in your own environment, on your own schedule.

In-room treatments are offered in partnership with ONDA Beauty, the well-regarded clean beauty destination just steps from the hotel. Guests staying in the Studio Suites have priority booking, preferred pricing, and access to a range of bespoke facials and massages — all without leaving their stylish abode.

The complimentary minibar reinforces that mindset. It’s stocked with wine, spirit-free  drinks, and snacks like Torres chips and Poshi olives — the kind of lineup that you’re excited to nosh on.

You can also visit ONDA in person, where a broader menu of treatments and products is available.

And  here’s another option for those who want to venture out: The Manner partners with Remedy Place, where guests receive preferred rates on wellness-minded treatments like ice baths, vitamin IV drips, acupuncture, and AI-powered massages.

The Treatment

In-room treatments are handled exclusively through ONDA Beauty, and the experience feels distinctly more personal than a traditional spa visit.

Facials are fully customized and draw from several high-performance skincare lines, allowing treatments to be tailored based on what your skin needs that day.

I slipped into my robe and in-room slippers as a massage bed dressed in silky-soft sheets was set up nearby — the room shifting into treatment mode without losing its character.

My massage therapist had a medical background, and it showed. His understanding of the musculoskeletal system was extensive, and he approached the treatment with precision. I came in with strained muscles from a week-long flare-up tied to my running routine, and he worked through the tension methodically, focusing on problem areas without overworking them.

By the end, the tightness had eased and my range of motion felt noticeably improved. It wasn’t just relaxing — it was effective.

And when it was over, there was no next step. No locker room, no hallway, no reentry. I stayed exactly where I was and savored my relaxed body and uplifted mood — there was no place else I wanted to be, and there was no rush to leave.
