Hotel Snapshot

There are some hotels you check into for the scene, and others where the whole point is not to be seen at all. Situated directly across from Central Park, Fasano Fifth Avenue is a high-end hideaway with five-star service and a residential vibe befitting of its Upper East Side surroundings. Fans of quiet luxury, exclusivity, and leafy views will feel right at home at the members-club-meets-hotel.

Design & Character

Tucked within a stunning building designed by acclaimed architect Thierry W. Despont—marking the first new residential construction on this stretch of Fifth Avenue in decades—Fasano Fifth Avenue might easily be mistaken for an exclusive, hard-to-access co-op. The interiors maintain the quintessential Uptown character and sophistication with custom furnishings, luxe fabrics, and curated art.

The Rooms

The suites are larger than most Manhattan studios—and certainly better appointed. The same holds true for the duplex apartments. Sumptuous rugs, bespoke seating, and a sleek minibar–meets–kitchenette create a residential ambiance reminiscent of a pied-à-terre. Textiles, from the linens to the carpeting, are impeccably plush. Marble bathrooms have heated floors, walk-in showers with soaking tubs, Toto toilets, and Aesop products. The unmatched attention to detail means guests return to sweet treats and the scent of a Le Labo Santal 26 Classic candle perfuming the air.

Food & Drink

The swanky ground-floor Fasano Caffè serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you’d rather not leave your decadent digs to dine, room service is also available. Guests staying at Fasano Fifth Avenue (and, of course, members) also enjoy priority reservations at Fasano Restaurant New York. Upstairs, the jazz club hosts live music on Saturdays and Sundays.

Amenities

Fasano Fifth Avenue is a true refuge. The accommodations are thoughtfully stocked with everything guests might need, while the attentive staff stands ready to deliver anything forgotten, from a phone charger to a toothbrush. The facilities are intentionally designed to ensure privacy. There’s a house car available for transport on a first-come basis. Beyond that, anything else guests require is accessible at the press of a button.

Location & Neighborhood Recs

The once-stodgy Upper East Side is having a renaissance with a wave of new restaurants worth coming from Uptown to sink your teeth into the food and ambiance. Located on Fifth Avenue, between 62nd and 63rd Streets, directly across from Central Park, Fasano Fifth Avenue sits neatly in the middle of Manhattan’s poshest pocket. It’s within walking distance of cultural institutions like The Frick Collection and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, designer shopping along Madison and Fifth Avenue, and well-heeled restaurants, including Chez Fifi, a cozy-chic French restaurant from the team behind Michelin-starred Sushi Noz for bluefin tuna crudo, frogs legs, and chicken with foie gras jus—naturally, there’s an osetra caviar supplement as well as expertly mixed cocktails and wine.
