Hotel Snapshot
Set inside a 1940s Neo Colonial mansion, in Mexico City’s upscale Polanco district, Casa Polanco is more than just a discreet and luxurious base for travelers to unwind between shopping trips, gallery hopping, and leafy strolls through Parque Lincoln. Authenticity runs deep at this five-star boutique hotel. Yes, it boasts an enviable address and guest book of luminaries, but it’s the deep sense of place and doting, personalized service that keep dignitaries, celebrities, and titans of industry coming back time and again.
Design & Character
The refined property occupies a historic home restored by renowned architect Claudio Gantous, plus a new-build tower to reach the desired room count. The interiors, designed by CASA M+M, channel the rich culture of Mexico City through a sophisticated color palette, a mix of vintage and locally crafted pieces, and contemporary Mexican art. The impressive collection includes works by Graciela Iturbide, Ricardo Mazal, and Rodrigo Garagarza.
The Rooms
Each of the 19 rooms and suites is individually decorated. Chevron floors, handmade rugs, and custom furnishings are chic constants throughout the guest quarters. Some of the most sought-after accommodations have balconies overlooking Parque Lincoln.
Food & Drink
Breakfast is served in the light-flooded inner courtyard. Patrons can expect a buffet of fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, honey, pastries, and a full menu. The guest-only restaurant also serves lunch, afternoon tea (cue the margaritas), and dinner.
Amenities
Besides the courtyard restaurant, the hotel offers an elegant lobby, a library with a top-shelf honor bar, a tranquil garden patio, and scenic terraces. The team will gladly coordinate walking tours of Polanco, museum tickets, private gallery viewings, and other VIP experiences. Bikes are available for cruising around the city.
Spa & Wellness Scoop
Spa goers will appreciate the double treatment cabin, which is soundproofed for peaceful massages and facials. The team can also arrange in-room rituals. On the fitness front, there’s a small gym in the old mansion attic that’s kitted with all the to get in a sweat session. If you’d prefer, it’s possible to arrange yoga or Pilates on one of the terraces.
Location & Neighborhood Recs
Polanco is Mexico City’s most polished neighborhood. It’s home to some of the city’s most lauded fine-dining destinations — namely Pujol and Quintonil — as well as chic cocktail bars like Ticuchi and Limantour Polanco, and designer shopping. It’s also a pleasant walk or short drive to the many museums in Reforma.
