Set the Scene

At Linden, New York inspired decor takes center stage. Vintage gold frames, distressed mirrors, snapshots of moments in Black history, and specially-commissioned 3D map of New York adorn the walls. Curated by co-partner Alahna Jade, this aesthetic channels the cozy, intimate vibe of an Uptown Harlem night or West Village staple. Guests can take their pick among three different seating areas: an intimate main room lined with white clothed dining tables, a buzzy bar framed by white brick arches, and an alcove tucked in a corner featuring leather banquette seating and floral wallpaper. No matter where you sit, you'll likely be near a returning diner on a first name basis with the waitstaff. In a neighborhood where high-stakes dining can feel alienating, this welcoming spot turns strangers into family over Black diasporic flavors. The dimly lit digs might easily make you nostalgic for a New York night, but fortunately, Linden brings that energy to you in the heart of Hollywood.

What the Food is Like

As a third-generation chef, Harris’ roots inform each dish at Linden. 'Breaking Bread' is an interactive starter that invites you to dip, spread, and share wood-planked focaccia, corn-shaped cornbread, and mini bagels. Served with schmaltz cream cheese and a unique fried-chicken-coated butter, this dish is a direct nod to the baking lessons Harris learned from his father in Long Island. The 'Not a Pot Pie'—packed with plantain chutney and tender wagyu—offers a flaky, flavorful homage to Jamaica’s 1962 independence  Other standout starters include the lemon beurre blanc-lacquered lobster & crab knuckle sandwich and an elevated take on New York street meat with spiced shawarma ribs, yogurt, and crisp saffron rice

While the starters are tempting enough to fill you up, save room for 'The Parkway.' It’s a stellar jerk duck leg and breast served over coconut pea risotto that delivers a perfectly herbaceous, fiery kick.  A vibrant addition to the menu, the Fish Nahgril, fuses Haitian, Jamaican, and Costa Rican flavors with a deep-fried kingfish, savory sweet plantain yuca hash, and a bright pickled arugula slaw.

Let’s Talk About the Drinks

Linden’s chef-driven cocktail extends the menu's Caribbean-Southern theme with highlights like a house-made Sorrel & Lemon Ting—a vibrant blend of citron vodka, Grand Marnier, lemon, and soda. After dinner, many guests make their way to the guestlist only Dot Dot LA, also owned by the Linden group. Here, all the classic cocktails you’d expect are served as a DJ spins reggae, soul, hip hip and more.
