Set the Scene
On the northern edge of Bryant Park, FAUCHON makes its New York debut with the understated appeal only a 19th-century Parisian icon can carry.
Founded in 1886 by Auguste Fauchon, the maison arrives in Midtown Manhattan as an expression of modern French gastronomy fit for a bustling metropolis. The space unfolds as a multi-hyphenate destination–bakery, boutique, café, barista bar, and private dining room–designated to flax with the rhythms of city life.
Parisian references feel deliberate rather than nostalgic: mosaics, arcades, and columned details meet bright pops of pink, warm metals, and textured mirrors.
A dramatic custom espresso machine anchors the retail floor, while tree-patterned wallpaper subtly nods to the park just outside. The effect is transportive yet grounded–Parisian polish, New York pace.
The Food & Drinks
At the heart of FAUCHON is an open bakery and pastry lab turning out the brand’s signature daily: croissants with audible crackle, jewel-toned éclairs, delicate macarons, artisan breads, and chocolatey treats.
Under Pastry Chef Victoria Mustaccio, the New York take on FAUCHON’s signature Bisou Bisou treat features a pretzel-crunch, fudge brownie, chocolate mousse, and caramel. The Big Apple pastry is layered with vanilla cream and caramelized fruit. Beyond sweets, the retail boutique tempts with specialty teas, savory delicacies, fine groceries, and giftable indulgences.
In the café, Executive Chef Mat Bednarczyk–in collaboration with Corporate Executive Chef Sébastien Monceaux–delivers breakfast through lunch with French clarity and American ease. Expect buckwheat blinis crowned with smoked salmon and trout roe, a textbook-perfect croque monsieur, and elevated comforts like a lobster roll on brioche or a Gruyère-topped FAUCHON burger.
Final Thoughts
FAUCHON NYC feels less like a newcomer and more like a long-awaited arrival–effortlessly elegant, deeply delicious, and unmistakably at home.
